In quality assurance the emphasis is on processs instead of products themselves. The goal is to prevent, not to diagnose.

focuses on feedbacks but inspection is its main mechanism and investigates the physical properties of the product.

QC is a systematic evaluation of the products and services to check their agreement. It does not improve the quality; it

Inspection is a combination of “measurement, checking and experiment”. In other words, inspection
is to check one or
more parameters of a product or a good with the obtained results to see if it has adaptability or not. Inspection is also very
useful in different industries such as oil, gas and petrochemical industries. For example, in oil and gas industry the coating
inspector has the duty to check the condition of the coating, paint and corrosion of the pipes, steel and etc. using the
related tools. Inspection is diagnosis-based or deficiency-based and is focused on the final output. In inspection the key
attributes of the product are considered and there is no feedback to the source. Inspection provides no basis for a
constant improvement and is a very short process and does not consider long term effects.
Even though inspection can assure that all products and services are well provided, it can also be a very expensive
process; especially in mass productions and ordinary things. For instance, inspection can be very costly for the
production of nails or shirt buttons. Inspection can lead to detection of junks, rework, correction and concession.
